Slot catalogueCandy slots: sweets, clusters and cascades
Candy, jelly and cake themes appear in games from different developers. Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush share sweet imagery but count combinations differently: one allows matching symbols anywhere, while the other requires connected groups.

Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush: different combinations
The original Sweet Bonanza pays for enough matching symbols anywhere on the board. Candies do not need to connect or form a line. Sugar Rush uses clusters, requiring matching symbols to form a connected group.
The same number of candies on two screens therefore need not produce the same result. Each game has its own group requirements, paytable and special symbols.
Cascades continue the same round
Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop in, potentially creating another combination. Several cascades belong to one initiated spin; each drop does not charge another ordinary stake.
The final result includes the whole sequence. A last cascade with no win does not remove payouts from earlier cascades.
Where multipliers appear
Sweet Bonanza’s bonus multipliers appear as separate symbols. Sugar Rush attaches multipliers to marked board positions, which persist between free spins.
The difference changes how the feature develops. One game needs an eligible multiplier symbol; the other makes the position of a later winning cluster relevant.
| Feature | Sweet Bonanza | Sugar Rush |
|---|---|---|
| Combination | Matching symbols anywhere on the board. | A connected group of matching symbols. |
| Board update | A cascade after a win. | A cascade after a win. |
| Bonus multipliers | Separate symbols. | Marked board positions. |
Originals, 1000 editions and other candy games
Sweet Bonanza and Sugar Rush have separate 1000 editions. They have their own game pages and rules for features and multipliers. Sweet Alchemy is another example of the candy theme.
For a title seen in a video, the full name on its opening screen is more useful than candy colours. Sequels often retain similar characters and artwork.
Free play and a bonus result
The selected game’s page launches a demo using virtual credits. It shows ordinary cascades and available bonus modes without a cash deposit.
Compare the round’s payout with its full cost. A 10-unit stake paying 6 reduces the balance by 4. For a purchased feature, deduct the whole purchase price even if the game displays a win celebration.
Questions on this topic
Is Sweet Bonanza a cluster slot?
The original counts matching symbols anywhere on the grid; they do not have to form a connected cluster.
Where do Sugar Rush multipliers remain?
On marked grid positions. Persistence depends on the mode; in free spins they remain between spins.
Must I buy a feature to learn the rules?
No. Start with the help screen and feature conditions. A demo uses a virtual balance and does not require a cash feature purchase.
