Check the full round cost against the offer’s bet limit. The game itself may allow more.
With an active bonus, the offer terms set the maximum bet. The game may still let you select a higher amount. Before playing, check the limit and the full cost of a round, including paid extras.
Check the full cost
A mode surcharge, increased bonus chance or feature purchase may add to the base bet. Compare the full charge with the limit. If an offer bans bonus buys, a low base stake does not remove that restriction.
Sweet Bonanza: a 25% surcharge. Le Bandit: a ×3 cost
In the captured Sweet Bonanza rules, a regular spin uses a bet multiplier of 20 and Ante uses 25. The ratio is 25 ÷ 20 = 1.25: if a regular spin cost ₽80, Ante would cost ₽100. Source
Le Bandit’s BonusHunt FeatureSpins costs three regular stakes, as listed by Hacksaw. A selected ₽40 stake would therefore cost ₽120. If an illustrative promotion allows at most ₽100 per round and counts the full cost, that round exceeds the limit even though the base stake selector shows only ₽40. Source
A mode appearing in the game menu does not mean it is permitted with a casino bonus. If feature purchases or additional bets are separately excluded, choosing a small base stake does not remove that restriction.
Cascades, bonus rounds and multiple hands
One paid bet may trigger a sequence of cascades or free spins inside the slot. These are not necessarily new charges. In-game free spins also differ from promotional FS issued by a casino.
Check the round history and game rules to see what was charged. A feature purchase has its own price; separately check whether it is allowed while wagering. The number of events on screen does not tell you the total paid stakes.
In table games, a limit may cover several hands or the combined value of simultaneous bets. A rule for one slot spin does not automatically apply to roulette or blackjack. Read the terms for the relevant category.
Contributions and exclusions
At a zero contribution, a game does not advance wagering progress. If it is prohibited, bets may have the consequences described in the operator’s rules. Check these clauses separately.
An allowed slot may still have bans on bonus buys, extra bets or specific modes. Read the exclusions for your particular offer: the presence of a game or provider in the catalogue does not mean it qualifies for wagering.
The Gambling Commission’s guidance for British operators includes bet restrictions among the terms that should be clearly explained. That document applies in its own jurisdiction. Read the individual casino’s terms for its rules and the consequences of a breach. Source
Before the first round
- Find the offer’s maximum amount, currency and the action the limit applies to.
- Check the full round cost in the game settings.
- Turn off paid extras if you cannot confirm that the offer allows them.
- Check the game’s contribution and exclusions.
- Save the terms containing the restrictions before playing.
If you have already exceeded the limit, save the round number, amount and time, then contact the operator. Continuing in the hope of lowering an average bet will not help: small bets do not undo an earlier transaction.
A stake permitted by the offer may still be too high for your budget. Set your own limit before playing and do not raise it to finish wagering.

Questions on this topic
Can I select the maximum stake in the game?
Only if it stays within the active offer’s restrictions. The game and bonus may have different maximums.
Can a series of small bets undo a breach?
No. The earlier transaction remains in your history. Save its details and ask the operator how it affected the bonus.
How does a bonus-round purchase count?
The rules may prohibit it entirely or count the full purchase price towards the bet limit. Check extra bets and gamble features too. A missing maximum does not mean there is no limit.
